BOSSA and Australia's The Lygon Group Partner
on China Expertise

International education research and analytics firm, The Lygon Group, has partnered with China’s study abroad industry association BOSSA to provide stakeholders with exclusive, post-pandemic insight on Chinese student mobility to Australia.

Together, the partners state their combined research and intelligence will help Australian educators craft a more robust and accurate China recruitment strategy for next year.

“Chinese students’ preferences, and desired study destinations, have changed since the onset of pandemic” said Jon Santangelo, spokesperson at BOSSA. “It is clear that non-Anglophone destinations will continue emerging as competitive alternatives.”

BOSSA is China’s membership group of education agencies, and publisher of big data analysis on Chinese student mobility trends. The Lygon Group is Australia’s leading international education research firm providing student-centric insight to Australia’s institutions, governments, and international education stakeholders.

“This is a time of unprecedented change in China. Understanding what this means for students and their families is crucial for Australia’s international education sector recovery.

“BOSSA are China’s foremost education agency association. Their international department does great work in servicing foreign educators with business development and agency relation building.

“We share the same goal, which is to support higher education institutions worldwide in their efforts to connect with Chinese students.” Dr Angela Lehmann, Head of Research at The Lygon Group said.

The Lygon Group specializes in ensuring genuine student voices and experiences are at the heart of student recruitment, marketing and services. They have worked with all levels of Australia’s government, universities, vocational education providers, agents and pathways colleges to put the student at the heart of strategy, planning and crisis management.

“TLG are an innovative company leading the sector in Australia. We’re looking forward to working together to bring together China and Australia’s international education stakeholders,”   Jon Santangelo, BOSSA spokesperson, added.
